Jarrod McWilliams – Adelaide South Australia

Learn Jewellery at the Academy of Jewellery Manufacture and Design

Jarrod has been a Tradesmen in the construction industry, concreting for over 15 years. Whilst he enjoys his work he began to seek out greater purpose for job satisfaction.

Enjoying his art and sculpture at school, and being mechanically minded, Jarrod sort education in the Jewellery industry.

It was through his friendships with Ian Brookes of Everett and Brooks in Gawler place that he was direct to Master Silver and Goldsmith Jacques Fabian.

Jacques quickly identified Jarrod’s passion and hand skills as being something to cultivate.

“By placing Jarrod in the trade class it was easy to see he would excel in this industry if only given the opportunity” Jacques commented.

At the end of 2016 and after serious thought Jacques offered Jarrod one of two intern ships for 2017.

Keen to pursue this new industry Jarrod has had the opportunity to work side by side with the Master craftsmen developing his own style through traditional skills.

“I derive inspiration from Cartier, Dior, Van Cleef and Arpels. I love bright colours as I feel it brings life into my pieces” Jarrod stated from STUDIO41 in Strathalbyn. “I will continue to pursue my Silversmithing and Object making with Jacques for as long as I can. Working next to him is the best part of my week” he shared.

Jarrod’s will begin his trading under the name “Mack D Jewellery”
